Artist's Comments

She comes and dances and bares away into the dark
And on her end there comes laugher, creeping out
She is the upturn on her lip and the sweet smile
That flits and careens about the mouth and does but
Die into the curve of tongue, her eyes sparking and
Sweltering with all the magic of her torpid mind .

She is the dormant beast of burden that lies in the forest
And waits, caressed and born into the breast of mothers
That embrace her and tender her breath into whispers
Past that clear out and cause fires to burn in winter winds.

Her laughter falls empty on lips tired of turning out
Her smiles are gay and mighty, even while her mind
Flashes in and out and does but run on ragged feet.

Even without color she burns bright ;
Woman with her wherewithal.

this one, she is ... so much, more.

For some reason this makes me think of Cindy Sherman.

I'm stuck in a groove,
I didn't hear what you said,
Because there's too many tunes going round in my head
:iconcrampthatbites:
she did an entire series last year using cindy sherman as inspiration,
i think she has one of those incredibly moving, expressive faces :)
